Five a Day Tour

‘Five-a-Day’ Tour. - Take care of your health and well being with our ‘5-a-Day’ Tour! Ensure you get one of your five-a-day essentials by visiting 5 of Great Britain’s finest National Parks in 5 Glorious days of motorcycling.

‘Five-a-day’ is the reason we all ride. We all have our own reasons for riding motorcycles, leisure, work, a necessity but mostly it comes down to the way it makes us feel. The thrill, the sense of freedom. If the doctor was able to prescribe a boost of motivation, some time-out from the hum-drum, a small piece of escapism and the chance to re-charge your batteries and return to the basics of motorcycling, the reason we ride - fun on the bike with old and new friends. Make sure you are getting your ‘Five-a-Day’, it’s just what the doctor ordered.

Monday 12th June - Start Point Bristol (tbc) to Llanarmon (approx 170 miles)

Day 1 - We head from our meeting point near Bristol and head to Abergavenny where we start 5 days of twisting tarmac. We briefly cross the Brecon National Park on route to beautiful Builth Wells and continue north to Newtown through the very heart of Wales on some fantastic roads which will have you grinning from ear to ear. At Newtown a left turn ushers us along nicely to Snowdonia National Park. After a short teaser we head along the coast of Lake Bala and to our first nights stay. Accommodation is in Llanarmon.

Tuesday 13th June - Llanarmon to Ilam (approx 130 miles)

Day 2 - On Leaving the hotel we firstly head west to experience one our favourite roads, with beautiful tarmac and long perfectly formed bends our ‘nickname’ for this section of road will be revealed to the lucky few. After a small loop around this stretch of the Snowdonia Park we head eastward through a combination of twisties and bigger roads to get us to the Peak District and on to Ilam for night 2. We enjoy a full day of fun in the Peak District National Park before settling in at the our hotel.

Wednesday 14th June - Ilam to Coniston (approx 220 miles)

Day 3 - An early start from Ilam and we head north through the Peak District and up to the Yorkshire Dales National Park to enjoy more magnificent scenery before heading to Penrith and taking a northerly route into the Glorious Lake District National Park via some truly epic biking roads and on to our Lake District accommodation at Coniston.

Thursday 15th June - Coniston to Aberystwyth (approx 200 miles)

Thursday 15th June - Leaving behind the Lake District we ride back into Wales and through more of the twisties that the Snowdonia National Park has for us via Porthmadog and on to Aberystwyth through this gem of the UK we like to refer to as ‘Little Switzerland’ where we spend the evening in this charming ‘world famous’ seaside university town.

Friday 16th June - Aberystwyth to Bristol (approx 130 miles)

Day 5 - All good things come to an end and we leave Aberystwyth and head along the sedate and tranquil Brecon National Park towards home. Then a quick to take a ride through the Wye Valley, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty where we stop to take in the haunting ruins of Tintern Abbey before crossing back in England on the old Severn Bridge to our debrief (DP) point for our goodbyes.
